When I was first hired to UBC's Media Studies Student Association, I was hired as a content writer to create the template for and be responsible for producing a regular newsletter that features profiles of different BMS students and alumni as well as networking opportunities and media-related content that would appeal to the cohorts of the program.
For this newsletter, I worked with 2 other marketing executives to interview Gabrielle Bonifacio, a recent BMS graduate, and tell her story and experience within the program. I also helped coordinate gathering all the MSSA executives responses to their favourite recent pieces of media to create a media recommendations graphic.
This experience has really allowed me to grow into my creative storytelling interests and has helped build my confidence in design as well. I also have learned creative collaboration and how I'm very passionate about and interested in telling stories of my community in creative, unique ways.
